Overview
This research project focuses on unpacking the complex relationship between the climate crisis and gender equality. The goals include exploring the depth of the climate crisis, assessing its magnitude, and identifying the need for gender-inclusive climate solutions. Committed to diverse sourcing for a comprehensive and unbiased understanding of gendered dimensions in climate change, the data was analyzed to create a nuanced summary, highlighting the current state of the climate crisis and its impact on gender equality. The aim is to pinpoint gaps and opportunities for a potential design project, incorporating a primary UX research plan. This establishes the foundation for problem and opportunity statements to guide gender-sensitive strategies in addressing climate crisis challenges.

Women bear the brunt of natural disasters and climate change due to poverty, gender roles, and discrimination. This leaves them more impoverished, less adaptable, and excluded from climate policy decisions. Gender norms confine them to food and water tasks. Climate policies overlook these nuances, worsening women's vulnerability. To create an equitable, sustainable world, addressing this gap, empowering women, and involving them in climate policymaking is crucial.
